Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Click "Register" in the top right and fill in the form. You will need:

  • A username
  • A valid e-mail address
  • A secure password (minimum 8 characters)

You must also confirm that you are at least 18 years old and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

How do I verify my e-mail address?

After registration you will receive an e-mail with a confirmation link. Click the link to verify your e-mail address.

If you did not receive an e-mail, check your spam folder or request a new confirmation e-mail.

How do I set up my profile?

Go to "Profile" in the navigation. There you can configure:

  • Location: City and postal code for distance calculation to other players
  • Trading preferences: Whether you want to trade locally, ship, or both
  • Visibility: Who can see your collection and profile

Collection

How do I import my cards?

Go to "Cards" → "Collection" and click "Import". You have two options:

  • CSV file: Upload a CSV file from Moxfield, Deckbox, ManaBox or Cardmarket
  • Text list: Paste a list in the format "1 Lightning Bolt"

Cards are automatically matched against the Scryfall database.

Which import formats are supported?

You can import exports from the following platforms:

  • Moxfield
  • Deckbox
  • ManaBox
  • Cardmarket
  • Scryfall

Additionally, the simple text format is supported: 1 Card Name or 1x Card Name

How do I mark cards as tradable?

There are several ways:

  • Individually: Click on a card and tick "Tradable"
  • Multi-select: Enable selection mode, choose multiple cards and use "Mark as tradable"
  • On import: Choose a "Trade" collection as the destination

Tradable cards are marked with an orange badge.

How do I export my collection?

In your collection you will find the "Export" button. Choose the desired format:

  • Moxfield: For import at Moxfield
  • Deckbox: For import at Deckbox
  • ManaBox/Scryfall: Universal format with Scryfall IDs
  • Cardmarket: For import at Cardmarket (semicolon-delimited)
Can I have multiple collections?

Yes! You can create as many collections as you like, e.g.:

  • Main collection
  • Trade cards
  • Deck cards
  • Sorted by set

Each collection can have its own visibility setting (public, friends, groups, private).

What do the visibility settings mean?
  • Public: Every registered user can see your collection
  • Friends: Only your friends can see the collection
  • Groups: Only members of certain groups can see the collection
  • Private: Only you can see the collection

Wishlist

How does the wishlist work?

The wishlist contains all the cards you are looking for. These are used for trade matching:

  • Go to "Cards" → "Wishlist"
  • Search for cards and add them
  • The system automatically finds players who have your wanted cards AND are looking for your trade cards
  • You receive a notification when a friend marks one of your wanted cards as tradable
Can I organise my wishlist into folders?

Yes! You can create folders to organise your wanted cards:

  • Click "New Folder" to create a folder
  • Drag and drop cards into folders or choose the folder when adding
  • Examples: "High Priority", "Commander Deck", "Standard Staples"

Folders help you keep track when your wishlist grows.

Can I import my wishlist?

Yes! You can add cards via import:

  • Click "Import" in the wishlist
  • Paste a list in the format "1 Card Name"
  • Alternatively you can import CSV files from other platforms
What does "Any Version" mean?

When "Any Version" is enabled, all printings of a card are considered during matching – regardless of set.

Example: You are looking for "Lightning Bolt". With "Any Version" enabled, offers from all sets (Alpha, M10, Double Masters, etc.) are shown.

Without "Any Version" only the specific set is matched.

Will I be notified when friends have my wanted cards?

Yes! You receive automatic notifications:

  • When a friend marks a card from your wishlist as tradable
  • Notifications are bundled to avoid spam
  • In the wishlist you can see directly which friends have which cards

Trading

What is the difference between "Trade Matches" and "Requests"?
  • Trade Matches: Shows you potential trading partners where a mutual trade is possible. Here you can see what you could receive and what you can offer.
  • Requests: This is where you manage your active trade negotiations. Once you start a trade it appears here.
How do I find trading partners?

Go to "Trades" → "Trade Matches". The system automatically shows you players with whom a trade is possible:

  • The other player has cards that are on your wishlist
  • You have cards that are on their wishlist
  • The distance to the player is shown (if a location has been set)

The more cards you mark as tradable and the larger your wishlist, the more matches you will find!

How do I start a trade?
  1. Go to "Trade Matches" and find a suitable partner
  2. Click "Details" to see the available cards
  3. Select the cards you would like to have
  4. Click "Start Trade"
  5. The trade now appears under "Requests"
Can I add or remove cards during a trade?

Yes! As long as the trade has not been completed:

  • Request cards: Click "Request" to add the partner's cards
  • Offer cards: Click "Offer" to offer your own cards in return
  • Remove cards: Click the X next to a card

Note: If cards are changed after the trade has already been accepted, it must be accepted again.

How does a trade work?

The flow of a trade:

  1. Open: You start a trade, the partner is notified
  2. Negotiation: Both can add/remove cards and communicate via chat
  3. Accepted: The partner accepts the trade
  4. Execution: You meet up or ship the cards
  5. Confirmation: Both confirm receipt
  6. Completed: The trade has been successfully concluded, rating is possible
How do I confirm a trade?

After a trade has been accepted:

  1. Agree via chat on how the exchange will take place (meeting or shipping)
  2. Carry out the trade
  3. Click "Confirm Receipt" when you have received the cards
  4. You can see the confirmation status of both sides
  5. Once both have confirmed, the trade is complete
What if my partner does not respond? (14-day rule)

After 14 days:

  • Only one side has confirmed: The trade is automatically marked as completed
  • Neither side has confirmed: The trade is marked as "expired"

This prevents trades from staying open indefinitely.

Can I cancel a trade?

Yes, as long as the trade has not been completed:

  • As initiator: You can cancel an open trade at any time
  • As partner: You can decline the request
  • Automatically: If all cards are removed, the trade is cancelled
Can I publicly browse other people's cards and see which are tradable?
Yes. The public card view lets you browse the community's cards — with search, filters and a large hover preview. For collections someone has shared publicly or with friends, you also see directly which cards are marked as tradable (orange badge). So you can find the cards you're after and see at a glance who offers them for trade — combined with trade matching and your wishlist.

Deckbuilder

What is the deckbuilder?
An interactive builder for Commander decks. You first pick your commander (plus partner or background if applicable) and then build the mainboard in a cascade layout — similar to Archidekt or Moxfield. The 100-card limit, singleton rule and color identity are validated in real time. Reachable from any of your decks or directly from the deck list.
Does the deckbuilder know which cards I own?
Yes, and that's one of our core strengths. Cards from your collection are highlighted in the deck with a teal accent border and an "owned" badge. The filter toggle next to the grouping mode lets you switch between "All / Owned / Missing" in one click — perfect to see what you still need. In the card search panel each result shows language and quantity of your owned copies, e.g. "DE ×2 · EN ×1".
What does the bracket level mean?
It's Wizards of the Coast's new standard for Commander power levels (2025/2026). Five tiers — 1 Exhibition, 2 Core, 3 Upgraded, 4 Optimized, 5 cEDH — as a conversation guide for the "Rule Zero" talk before a game. FwC classifies your deck automatically using the official Game Changers list (about 50 particularly powerful cards). You can see the level right next to the color pentagon in the builder.
How do you find combos in my deck?
We query the open community database at Commander Spellbook — the largest curated collection of Magic combos. As soon as your deck has 70 or more cards we show you the combos contained (involved cards plus what they do, e.g. "Win the game") and "almost complete" combos missing just one or a few pieces. Helps with deckbuilding and makes sure hidden win conditions don't surprise you.
What is the comparison value next to the mana curve?
Next to your average mana value (avg CMC, excluding lands) we show "Avg decks same cmdr." — the typical average CMC of other decks running the same commander. At a glance you can tell whether your deck is cheaper or more expensive than usual. The coloured delta (e.g. "+0.4") shows the difference: teal = cheaper, amber = more expensive than the average. The benchmark comes from our own aggregated decks — no third party. For rare commanders with too few decks it reads "not enough data yet".
Can I share my deck publicly?
Yes. Set a deck's visibility to "Public" — a "Public view / Copy link" button then appears on the deck page. Anyone can open that link without an account: a clean, read-only view with the mana curve, type and colour breakdown, detected combos and every card in three layouts (stacks, list, cards). We deliberately don't show prices or comments there. The page is search-engine indexable so others can find your deck — and build their own against their collection in one click.
How do the card suggestions work?
While you build, the suggestions sidebar recommends fitting cards for your commander — based on synergy and how often cards appear in comparable decks (from our own aggregated decks plus a broad base dataset, no third-party login needed). You can switch between two sources: "From my collection" (only cards you own — ideal for making the most of what you have) and "All cards". One click adds a suggestion to the main or maybeboard; hovering shows the card large.
What are tags and how do I group my deck with them?
You can freely tag cards with your own labels — e.g. "Ramp", "Removal", "Wincon" or whatever you like (name + colour, reusable across decks). Manage them via "Tags" in the builder; assign per card or via multi-select. Handy: one click on "Auto-tag all cards" creates fitting tags automatically — function tags (Ramp, Removal, Card Draw …) from the card text, otherwise type tags (Land, Creature, Artifact …). Then you can sort your deck precisely with "Group by: Tag".

Ratings

How does the rating system work?

After every completed trade both sides can submit a rating:

  • 1–5 stars
  • Rating is voluntary
  • Your average is shown on your profile
Why can't I see the rating immediately?

Anti-Retaliation System: Ratings only become visible once BOTH sides have rated.

Why? So that nobody gives a bad rating out of spite just because they received a bad one. You always rate "blind".

Friends & Groups

How do I add friends?

Go to "Community" → "Friends":

  1. Enter the friend code of the other person
  2. Send a friend request
  3. Once the request is accepted, you are friends
What is my friend code?

Your friend code is an 8-character code (e.g. "T6QGAQB5") which you can find on the Friends page.

Share this code with other players so they can send you a friend request.

How do groups work?

Groups are a way to organise players:

  • Create a group for your play group or your LGS
  • Invite friends to the group
  • Set collections to "Group visibility" so only group members can see them

Events

How do events work?
Under Community → Events you'll find tournaments, prereleases and casual rounds — local near you or online. You can create one yourself (name, type, format, location, date) and set its visibility: public, friends only, a specific group only, or private. Participants can sort out the details in the event chat.
How do I join an event?
Open the event and click “Join”. For events with a participant limit you can only join while spots are available. Private events as well as friends and group events can only be joined if you're allowed to — e.g. friends with the creator or a member of the relevant group.

Play partners

How do I find players for a game?
Under Community → Play partners you create a play request with format, location (local, online or both) and preferred date. Other players near you see the request and show interest. Once someone is interested, you sort out the details in the request's chat.
Who can read a play request's chat?
Only the request's creator and players who have shown interest. If you're just browsing you can see the request itself but not the chat — show interest first to read along and join the conversation.

Security & Reporting

How do I report a user?

If you have a problem with a user:

  1. Open the trade request or message
  2. Click the flag icon "Report"
  3. Choose a reason (spam, harassment, fraud, etc.)
  4. Optionally add a description
What happens after a report?

Reports are reviewed by an admin:

  • The report is processed within a few days
  • In the event of violations, the reported user can be warned or banned
  • You will not receive direct feedback, but we take every report seriously

Account

How do I change my password?

Go to "Profile" and scroll to the "Change Password" section. Enter your current password and the new password twice.

How do I delete my account?

Go to "Profile" and scroll all the way down to the "Delete Account" section.

Warning: This action is irreversible! All your data (collection, wishlist, trades, etc.) will be permanently deleted.

Who can see my location?
No one sees your exact address. For trade and play-partner matching we only calculate and show the approximate distance in kilometres. In your profile you set your city/postal code under “Location” and the maximum distance for shown partners under “Trading settings”. Without a location set, no location-based trade partners are shown to you.
How do I configure notifications?
In your profile under “Notifications” you choose per type (friend requests, trade updates, wishlist matches, nearby events and more) whether you want to be notified. For emails you can pick instant delivery, a daily summary (digest), or “in-app only”. In the app, new items appear as counters in the navigation.
Can I export or have my data deleted (GDPR)?
Yes. You can download your collection yourself at any time via the export function (several formats). For a full data export or deletion under GDPR, contact us via the contact form. When you delete your account your personal data is removed; already completed trades and ratings may be kept in anonymised form for record-keeping. It's best to complete or cancel open trades beforehand.
